Coordinate with shipping companies (FedEx, UPS, moving companies). Negotiate supplier terms & conditions, including price. Prepare Request for Quote (RFQ). Understand quality deficiency reports, non-cancel/non-return orders, and request for variance. Compile information and records to prepare purchase orders. Verify specifications of purchase requests. Expedite orders. Evaluate bids and select suppliers. Maintain SharePoint site. Coordinate collection and preparation of reports. Review and answer correspondence. Qualifications
Seven or more years of professional experience working with government contract procurement, purchasing, and/or buying. Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint. Knowledge of Materials (Purchasing & Inventory) in a purchasing environment. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR). Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time. Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically. Clearance Requirements
There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, U.S. Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
