Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour | Full-Time
TBC is looking to hire a full-time Specialty Technician team member who is experienced with multiple floor surfaces, a carpet technician, and has an extensive custodian background. Day in the Life of a TBC Specialty Technician As a lead floor and carpet technician, custodian, you are responsible for performing and leading the heavy duty floor maintenance team, refinishing tile floors, pressure washing, high-dusting and other specialty projects assigned. You will assist in training of team members as well as lead projects.
You will report maintenance repair problems and ensure all floor equipment is clean and properly maintained after each use. Safety Techs often operate expensive and powerful equipment that if not properly operated can result in permanent physical and property damage. Therefore, this team must follow concise safety precautions and measures at all times.
Responsibilities
Lead the heavy‑duty floor maintenance team.
Refinish tile floors, pressure wash, high‑dust, and other specialty projects.
Assist in training team members.
Report maintenance repair problems and ensure equipment cleanliness.
Follow safety precautions and measures at all times.
Qualifications
21 years old or older.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs and perform general floor technician/custodian tasks including bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for an entire shift.
At least 3–5 years experience as a floor tech with knowledge of operating large machines throughout large commercial complexes.
Extensive knowledge of floor care.
Specialty Techs will often be required to perform standard upkeep and maintenance of large equipment.
Maintain daily reporting of maintenance repair problems to the Project Manager.
Ensure all equipment cleanliness and maintenance after each usage.
Perform all duties of EVS cleaners and general cleaners on a larger scale.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and squatting.
Frequent lifting of more than 40 pounds.
