Job Description As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be an essential part of the team. You will assist Project Managers with system integration projects by coordinating submittals, manpower and staffing, resources, change orders, project tracking, and documentation.
What you’ll be responsible for
Assist in developing project proposals by determining time frames, costs, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
Work with documentation group to have all required submittal documents ready and organized
Purchase parts, supplies, and technical instrumentation per specifications and system design
Act as liaison for inter‑department and coordination of day‑to‑day operations for assigned projects
Maintain project documentation and updates with change orders
Participate in project review meetings with other contractors and customer representatives
Review change orders and update pricing to maintain profitability and budget constraints
Assist with preparation of project reports for management, general contractors, customers, engineering firms, and others
Fill in for Project Manager when needed for meetings, etc.
7‑day work week; Day Shift (likely 7am‑7pm)
Required Experience/Skills
3 years full‑time architecture, pre‑construction, construction, or related field experience
Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to apply technological solutions to planning or implementation assignments
Must pass Background Check
Must pass 10‑Panel Drug Test
OSHA 30 certification required
Must live 60+ miles from site to qualify for per diem
Nice‑to‑Haves
Experience working with industry tools and references including estimating (RS Means or similar) and scheduling tools (MS Project or similar), CAD or BIM based programs, visual communication software (Bluebeam or similar), project tracking and document control software (Procore or similar)
Strong understanding of programming, design, and construction principles
Previous experience in industrial automation
Experience with Team and customer meetings generating RFI’s, Action Item List and Meeting Minutes
Experience utilizing customer portals for project documentation such as Procore
Controls System knowledge of Rockwell hardware and AVEVA Software
Datacenter BMS and EPMS Equipment knowledge
Experience working with Electrical installation contractors
Education Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, project management, engineering, or related field a plus
Pay & Benefits Summary
$50/hr with $178/day per diem (must work 8 hours/day and live 60+ miles from site)
