Senior EVS Associate Evening
at Banner University Medical Center – South Tucson. This role supports patient and staff safety by maintaining a clean, safe environment, ensuring infection control and responding to cleaning requests.
Schedule
Full Time – Evening Shift
3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Weekends, rotations, and holidays required
Weekend differential: $1 / hour; night shift differential: 18 %
Duties
Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish floors per department policy.
Scrub and disinfect patient areas, operating rooms, and sterile rooms.
Stabilize equipment, log repairs, and maintain equipment logs.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests via tracking systems.
Provide customer service, anticipate safety issues, and refer problems to supervisors.
Lead and train less experienced associates.
Calculate quantities and mix ratios of cleaning chemicals.
Minimum Qualifications
One to two years of diversified environmental service experience in a health care setting.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appropriate cleaning techniques.
Basic math skills and effective oral and written communication.
Ability to multi‑task and work under frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
Model customer service, safe work practices, and infection control (hand hygiene).
Maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card; submit an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit upon hire (required for behavioral health sites).
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer skills.
Previous experience in environmental services; familiarity with equipment and cleaning techniques.
