We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Wound Nurse Coordinator
to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing wound care management, coordinating patient treatment plans, and ensuring high-quality care for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care treatment plans for patients.
Coordinate wound care services among multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff.
Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on wound prevention and management.
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to promote healing and prevent complications.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements related to wound care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and wound care research projects.
Serve as a resource and consultant for wound care issues within the facility.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Certification in wound care (e.g., WCC, CWS or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care or related specialty.
Strong knowledge of wound healing processes, treatment modalities, and infection control.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems.
The Wound Nurse Coordinator will work primarily in a clinical setting, including inpatient and outpatient facilities. The role may require occasional travel between sites and the ability to manage multiple patients and priorities effectively.
