ReNuke Services is seeking a
Project Manager II
for our client’s utility site in Raleigh, NC.
Travel to project sites is required. A personal vehicle will be used with mileage reimbursed. Travel will be to Roxboro and Mayo Stations (both around the Roxboro area) and possibly to HF Lee Station (Goldsboro), but most of the project needs are at Roxboro/Mayo. Minimum requirement of 3 days per week in office or at one of the plants (can be NCRH office, if local to the Raleigh area or Rox/Mayo station).
Responsibilities (not an all-inclusive list)
Provide leadership, oversight, management, delegation and coordination to the various internal and external organizations that are providing services to the project (engineering, project controls, estimating, construction management, supply chain, legal, Environmental Health and Safety, QA/QC, operations, communications, regulatory, security, fuels, transmission, etc.).
Structure, lead, and/or assist in leading all project related meetings and reports required to ensure open communication between all team members, key stakeholders, and management (monthly project reviews, kickoff meetings, etc.) and to properly report project status. Present reports to appropriate management/govt team skillfully.
Plan assigned project(s) including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality and closeout. This includes, but is not limited to, scope definition, estimating, schedule creation and monitoring, cost control measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipment selection, vendor selection, start‑up and commissioning plans, and integration processes such as turnover to operations and warranty management.
Execute projects with a focus on Event Free and Operations Quality, according to plan within designed scope, cost and schedule limits.
Job Description Project Manager II has single point accountability or can be under the general direction of a Project Director or Senior PM. The position is responsible for management, or assisting management, of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure project success factors are met. These include, but are not limited to, scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.
The position is typically assigned a portfolio of ‘White’ or ‘Green’ ranked projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Risk-Informed Project Ranking Process. The position is accountable for a portfolio of assigned projects with Low to Moderate levels of risk that impact various levels of the Company, Senior Management or External Agencies. May be assigned projects with specific risk-informed requirements based on specific experience and skill sets.
Serve as an unifying agent providing leadership, decision making, management, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the Company.
