Department Profile UC Santa Barbara is located on the Pacific Ocean, ranks among the top 10 public universities in the nation and is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities. The UCSB Athletics Department includes 20 intercollegiate sports teams and 450 student athletes that compete for championships in the Big West Conference and at the NCAA Division I level. The Gauchos have won a record 10 Big West Conference Commissioner's Cups.
Summary of Job Duties Equipment Operator, under supervision, operates specialized medium to heavy power grounds and related equipment in the maintenance and operation of the Campus Grounds, road and bikeway systems, facilities, and venues.
Required Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in the operation of medium to heavy power grounds equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Special Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory criminal history background check.
Must maintain a valid CA driver’s license, a clean DMV record and enrollment in the DMV Pull-Notice Program.
Position may include nights and weekends.
