Essential Responsibilities
Schedules patients for procedures; post‑operative appointments, pre‑admission testing, testing, surgery, follow‑up and wait‑list process. Notify patients in‑person and via mail of scheduled procedures, ensuring timely communication of procedure details, location, time, and requirements. Provides patients with information pertaining to testing and surgery.
Maintains multiple applications for scheduling procedures and collection of patient data. Schedules location of procedure, medical staff & clinical resources. Completes accurate & timely journal entries. Collaborates with both internal & external partners to obtain resources. Maintains physician &/or surgeon's schedule. Registers patient & ensures demographic data is entered accurately.
Communicates schedules on a daily basis, reviews with advisor, updates staff with revisions, and posts schedules.
Acts as liaison with internal departments and external resources and agencies.
Coordinates to ensure all paperwork is complete and pre‑authorization has been obtained. Obtains and processes referrals for procedures.
Oversees documenting of procedures and resources; maintains and tracks service and procedure to ensure procedures and equipment usage are captured. Generates logs for review and enters revisions.
Contracts with vendors to coordinate delivery of equipment, coordinates delivery to patient's residence, and ensures resources for procedures are maintained and available for scheduled procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
3–5 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems required, including web‑based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Pay Range $21.53 – $28.97 per hour (base hourly wage). Actual compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
