Senior Associate at TEEMA Solutions Group Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented

Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Buyer

to lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, supporting operational efficiency and long-term organizational growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives to ensure supply continuity.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and contractual terms.

Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Finance) to align procurement activities with organizational goals.

Monitor market trends and perform cost analyses to identify savings opportunities and mitigate supply risks.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.

Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.

Lead initiatives to enhance procurement processes, systems, and tools.

Support inventory management and demand planning to optimize stock levels.

Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of five years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost‑reduction initiatives.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems (experience with SAP is a plus).

Proficiency in procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge and experience with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Just‑In‑Time (JIT) methodologies.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and global sourcing.

Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP are a plus.

Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team‑oriented environment.

Travel

This position requires approximately 10–30% international travel to collaborate with global procurement teams and overseas suppliers. Candidates must have no restrictions on international travel.

An initial overseas assignment of approximately 3–6 months may be required for training, benchmarking, and knowledge transfer upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry‑specific experience (e.g., manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare) is preferred.

Familiarity with sustainability and ESG‑focused procurement practices is desirable.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics tools are a plus.
