Logistics Coordinator Description & Duties:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations, managing daily inventory levels and optimizing logistics processes. This role is responsible for coordinating all shipping and receiving for the company acting as a resource for many departments.
Pay Range USD $21.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule shipments with appropriate carriers to ensure delivery by scheduled deadlines.
Assist in managing inventory levels and track shipments to prevent shortages and overstocking.
Receive orders and shipments, deliver shipments to appropriate departments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate logistics activities.
Address and resolve shipment issues regarding tracking, package location, insurance/claim submission, return of packages.
Assist in analyzing logistics data and help optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to logistics activities, such as shipping records, invoices, and reports.
Document logistics-related issues and assist in proactively identifying areas for improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly. Must be able to take direction and work well with others. Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines. Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately. Must be able to react to change productively.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in business administration or related field and 2 years of experience in related field, preferably in shipping/receiving or logistics.
Understanding of logistics principles, supply chain management, and inventory control.
Proficient in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, or Atlassian preferred.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
