Position Summary
Under the direction of the head of UNM Law School Student and Career Services, this position manages the promotion of employer outreach services throughout the legal community and other relevant employment markets.
Duties include: employer liaison, on and off‑campus recruitment initiatives, publicity for career fairs, speakers, and other services; provides supplemental law student and alumni career advisement; develops, administers, and manages the externship program, including teaching related externship courses; serves as a representative of the Law School on a statewide, regional and national basis to potential employers. Upon consultation and feedback from employers, provides guidance and instruction for professional development and career opportunities to law students and alumni.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school strongly preferred
Experience providing guidance to and mentoring law students
Excellent writing and editing skills and close attention to detail
Familiarity with the NM judiciary and legal community
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
