Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Subcontract Administrator

to join our team in

Lexington, Kentucky

supporting the

Special Operations Forces - Global Logistic Sustainment Services (SOF GLSS)

contract. This role is responsible for managing subcontracts of varying complexity from proposal through completion, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, and performance requirements. The position supports a global supply base dedicated to providing logistics and sustainment solutions that directly impact warfighter readiness.

An active or the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

is required for this position.

Job Responsibilities

Administer and manage subcontracts from request for proposal through contract closeout

Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure cost, schedule, and quality requirements are met

Conduct price and cost analysis to support proposal evaluations and contract negotiations

Implement supplier corrective actions and manage recovery plans ("return to green") efforts as needed

Support compliance and audit activities in coordination with the Contracts and Procurement teams

Prepare and deliver regular subcontract status reports to senior and executive leadership

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure subcontract requirements align with program objectives

Review and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure accuracy and compliance

Participate in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to process improvements and lean activities

Maintain accurate records of subcontract activities in accordance with company and government regulations

Basic Qualifications

Proven experience in government procurement or subcontract administration (experience level may vary depending on position tier)

Comprehensive understanding of global supply chain management and complex government procurement processes

Demonstrated ability to analyze cost and pricing data to establish negotiation positions

Strong knowledge of

Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

and

Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)

Experience with proposal evaluations, cost/price analysis, and subcontract negotiations

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise documentation

Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams and driving process improvements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a program team structure

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a

Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills

Working knowledge of standard

U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)

contract types

Experience using

SAP

or similar enterprise resource systems

Background in establishing and managing supplier relationships and performance

Knowledge of labor contracts and cost structures

Familiarity with Special Operations Forces (SOF) programs

Experience managing competitive and non‑competitive price agreements

Demonstrated success in leading complex subcontract negotiations

Experience managing or participating in

Subcontract Management Teams (SMT)

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership, suppliers, and external stakeholders

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, or a related field required

Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., NCMA, CPSM) preferred

Work Experience

Minimum of 3‑7 years of experience in government contracting, subcontract management, or supply chain procurement, depending on position tier
