Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Packout Supervisor to lead our on-site packout crews and oversee contents handling operations. In this role, you will supervise teams during the inventory, packing, transportation, and storage of clients' personal property, ensuring every item is treated with the utmost care. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who excels in high-pressure situations, prioritizes customer empathy, and maintains high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise packout crews on job sites, ensuring safe and efficient removal of contents from damaged properties.
Oversee detailed inventory processes using state-of-the-art electronic systems for accurate tracking and documentation.
Coordinate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and restoration contractors to manage project scopes, timelines, and expectations.
Ensure proper handling techniques for fragile, high-value, or sentimental items, including furniture, antiques, artwork, electronics, textiles, and documents.
Train and mentor team members on safety protocols, packing methods, and company standards.
Conduct site assessments to evaluate contents and determine restoration priorities.
Manage transportation of items to secure, climate-controlled facilities and oversee pack-back operations upon project completion.
Maintain quality control, adhere to budgets and schedules, and provide regular project updates.
Respond to emergency calls and perform hands-on duties as needed in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in contents restoration, packout services, disaster recovery, or related fields (e.g., moving, inventory management).
Proven supervisory or leadership experience in team-based operations.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, especially when working with clients in distress.
Knowledge of restoration techniques for various materials is preferred.
Familiarity with insurance processes and electronic inventory software is a plus.
Valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a background check.
IICRC certification (or willingness to obtain) highly desired.
Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call for emergencies.
