What to Expect
As a Tesla Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics as well as lab testing, system performance validation including filter changes, chemicals adjustments according to system requirements, in line chemical testing, quality validation and prepare system for preventive maintenance. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Equipment Maintenance is also the first‑responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production running. This is a physically demanding job working in tight spaces, requiring walking and standing all day, as well as bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and lying on the ground intermittently throughout the day. In addition, the technician may wear a fall protection harness while working from heights or from a suspended position. Maintenance Technicians will lift up to 50 lbs and utilize other hand tools and power tools as needed. Also technician will be handling chemicals and wearing the right protection to do the work.
What You’ll Do
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipment
Perform chemical testing and chemical adding and adjustment according to specs
Perform repairs on production‑down equipment and operate and repair every cell on a Line. Tech should also be able to transfer chemistry to backup system if required
Perform Corrective Maintenance (repairs) on more than one of these types of equipment: Mechanical systems, Conveyor Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Piping
Control the inventory of parts, supplies, and lab equipment and do request to engineering team in case is required, or obtain them from storerooms
Log all work as performed and feed back to engineering and other team members on changes done in the shift or items to follow up
Perform other tasks as instructed by management
What You’ll Bring
Two (2) or more years of experience working in a maintenance capacity on production manufacturing equipment and/or have equivalent training or relevant education
Experience on handling chemicals and ability to read and interpret work instructions and parameter specs
Solid knowledge and ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly drawings and accurately validate performance
Proficient with pneumatics‑solenoid valves, actuator and control operations, hydraulic system operations and can read schematics
Ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long‑term solutions
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation $32.00 - $48.27/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
