Quality Inspector
and help manufacture defense and space products at the Jetplex location.
Position Responsibilities
Uses and interprets DoD, NASA, and Boeing blueprints, specifications, directives, documents, manuals, inspection plans, and other similar information pertaining to Quality Assurance.
Sets up and operates measuring instruments and equipment necessary to accomplish work assignments.
Follows inspection and statistical sampling procedures to accept or reject materials and adjust inspection levels.
Interprets statistical process control charts and coordinates corrective actions and adjustments with quality engineering.
Moves materials from place to place within the work area, including parts, sub‑assemblies, assemblies, tools, jigs, equipment, documentation, and other supplies as necessary for inspection and or assembly/test of products.
Sets up equipment and performs tests on various products and assemblies using manual, semi‑automatic, or automated test devices.
Witnesses, evaluates, certifies and records certification test data and maintains personal certifications as work requires.
Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for proper identification, quantity, damage, packaging, paperwork, shipping instructions, and performs appropriate dimensional, composition, non‑destructive, destructive, and inspection.
Reviews recurring discrepancies to ascertain cause and corrections required.
Reviews completed inspection records to assure compliance with pertinent written directives and other program direction.
Conducts internal reviews to assure compliance with the Quality Manual and other procedures such as Quality Instructions, Sampling Plans and Operating Procedures.
Prepares and edits reports for approval by supervision.
Assists Manufacturing QA Manager in continuous process improvement efforts.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintains licenses, permits and certifications required to perform assigned work.
Performs other duties as assigned within general job classification.
Basic Qualifications
1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be willing to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing dimensional, composition, non‑destructive, destructive, and/or electrical/electronic inspections.
Experience with gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
Experience with Non‑Conformance (NCR) processes.
Experience with circuit card and/or electronics manufacturing.
J‑STD‑001 certification.
Additional Information
This is an hourly position governed by the IAMAW 2766 Collective Bargaining agreement.
Shift schedule: A shift (Mon‑Thu 6:00 am–4:30 pm), B shift (Mon‑Thu 4:30 pm–3:00 am), C shift (Fri‑Sun 6:00 am–6:30 pm). The position is variable shift.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance (final post‑start). U.S. citizenship required.
Visa Sponsorship: Not available.
Relocation assistance: Not offered.
Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour.
