Collins Aerospace, a leader in aviation technology, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our fast‑paced and innovative team. In this critical role, you will support one of Collins’ key value streams: Cabin Monuments & Integration. As a Quality Inspector, you will be at the heart of our quality team, performing receiving inspections within the compliance of AS9100 and FAA CFR 21 Certification Procedures for Products and Articles requirements.
What You Will Do
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of purchased parts and materials using checklists, drawings, and standards.
Obtain Documentation: Gather applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and inspection instructions.
Ensure that the equipment is in reliable condition and calibrated if applicable.
Control samples for conformity to drawings, specifications, and standards.
Document inspection results and nonconforming conditions on the appropriate computer system.
Identify product items as accepted or rejected.
Conduct First Article Inspections.
Inform supervision of any abnormal situations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workstation.
Attend and participate in quality‑related training activities and department meetings as provided by management.
Maintain or update skills necessary for proficient job performance.
Perform other Quality Assurance oriented duties as assigned by supervisor.
Personal Protective Equipment: Wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Adherence to EHS Policies.
Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the U.S.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
Detail oriented and good communication skills.
Product Inspection Experience And/or Technical Background.
