Position Summary
Delaware Valley Paving is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to lead asphalt paving crews based out of Philadelphia and/ or New Jersey region. This role is responsible for supervising daily paving operations, maintaining productivity and quality standards, and ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead asphalt paving crews in the field
Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, and equipment with project management
Ensure proper paving methods, grades, joint construction, and compaction
Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and work orders
Maintain job site safety, enforce OSHA regulations, and promote safe work practices
Communicate effectively with superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and crew members
Complete daily reports, production logs, and time tracking as required
Inspect finished work to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with standards
Assist with hands‑on paving work as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving operations
Prior experience in a Foreman or Crew Lead role preferred
Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus)
Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, equipment, and materials
Ability to manage crews and maintain productivity under tight schedules
