Primary Job Role
Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance
Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner while caring for and maintaining company machines/equipment
Demonstrates utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and other documentation
Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment, disassembles components, properly cleans parts, and inspects components to ensure maximum reuse for cost control
Tests, diagnoses, and adjusts failures of equipment
Creates repair estimates and submits information to substantiate quotes and estimates
Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports, as requested by the supervisor, ensuring they are legible and accurate with sufficient detail for service accounting needs
Works under the guidance of a qualified shop or field service technician in the disassembly, repair, re‑assembly, and testing of components
Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the lead person is aware of any cost overrun prior to job completion; may assume the lead person position temporarily when required
Maintains personal company service literature and remains highly aware of technical changes in the industry
Performs other duties as assigned

Education And Experience
Formal Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: 3-4 years
Required / Credentials
Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers
Must have completed standards outlined in the personnel achievement guideline or have been determined to meet the same qualification by the lead person based on division location
Must possess a valid Class E Driver’s License
Not Required But Highly Desired Criteria
High School education including a specialized technical course or equivalent years experience as a Technician preferred
Updating of Knowledge
Job requirements change requiring re‑training to stay current every 1‑2 years
