Overview Every consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services the company offers to clients. As a Cybersecurity Data Reporting Analyst, you will join the Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.

Responsibilities

Metrics Operating Cadence

Coordinate monthly metric gathering with defined timelines and reporting processes

Lead metric review meetings

Facilitate discussion on trends, risks, and remediation

Capture minutes and decisions

Track and follow up on action items with metric owners

Ensure timely closure and evidence collection

Finalize the monthly PowerPoint metrics pack for executive reporting

Maintain the master metrics calendar, stakeholder distribution lists, and reporting deadlines

Dashboard Development (Manual and Automated)

Build manual dashboards in PowerPoint using Excel pivot tables, slicers, and charts

Ensure consistent formatting, version control, and narrative

Develop automated Power BI dashboards, including data models, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, row-level security, and scheduled refresh

Design intuitive visuals and executive summaries highlighting trends, exceptions, SLAs, KPIs and KRIs

Implement a sustainable content management process (MS Teams) for source files, datasets, and dashboard artifacts

Documentation and Governance

Create and maintain SOPs for metric requests, creation, review, and publishing; define roles and responsibilities (RACI)

Maintain a metrics inventory/data dictionary with metric definitions, owners, data sources, calculation logic, reporting cadence, and audiences

Establish change control for metric definitions and reporting packs; manage versioning and approvals

Data Quality and Analysis

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection

Track data quality issues and remediation

Analyze trends, variability, and correlations

Highlight root causes and operational risks

Partner with metric owners to refine calculations, thresholds, and targets

Ensure consistency across domains

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to automate manual metric collection workflows

Prioritize a roadmap to increase data reliability and reduce cycle time

Standardize templates, visuals, and naming conventions

Improve metric maturity and business relevance

Identify opportunities to improve operational metric processes, including metric collection, review and reporting, requests and changes

Qualifications

Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI (data modeling, DAX, RLS, scheduled refresh), and PowerPoint

Proficiency in SQL and data preparation; knowledge of data governance and documentation best practices

Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in validating and interpreting data

Understanding of key cybersecurity metrics and domains (e.g., vulnerability management, incident response, IAM, control compliance)

Demonstrated ability to create clear, executive-level data visualizations and insights

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and time-management skills

Experience with enterprise tools such as Snowflake, Jira, SIEM, GRC and cloud platforms is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analytics, business intelligence, or IT reporting. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI (PL-300), CISSP, or CISM are a plus.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $155,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
