Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The OST Manager provides support, training, supervision and management direction to program staff. This position acts as a liaison between program sites and administrative departments. This position works closely with the Director of Programs to ensure program service delivery and quality assurance. This position will be in program locations daily and interact with program staff, students, and families. Additionally, this position works closely with Youth Development Leaders to deliver high quality youth programs.
Essential Functions Program Operations
Manages and supervises assigned programs
Ensure compliance with COA, licensing and AYS policies and procedures
Ensure CCDF transaction process and procedures maintained
Receive and edit reports (incidents, etc.)
Serve in ratio at a program if needed
Leadership
Serves as a positive and guiding force that supports AYS mission, vision and values
Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to all Youth Development Associates in all aspects of program implementation and stakeholder engagement
Observe and monitor program to ensure quality care is being provided
Participate and represent AYS, Inc. in school functions including, but not limited to; teachers meeting, PTA/PTO meetings, ice cream socials or other events hosted by the school
Coaches, trains and mentors Youth Development Leaders and associates; conducts regular observations and provides feedback
Evaluates Youth Development Leaders annually
Oversite and fiscal responsibility of site level budgets
Administrative
Attend, participate, and lead scheduled team meetings
Oversees staff scheduling within assigned sites
Follows all AYS policies and procedures as directed in the Employee Handbook and the Program Manual and ensure staff follow as well
Meets with their Youth Development Leaders on a regular basis
Responsible for ensuring program has adequate supplies for snacks and curriculum
Work with Director of Program Quality to identify staffing needs
Performs all other duties as assigned
Compliance and Training
Supports Curriculum planning and implementation
Identifies and coordinates individual and team skill deficiencies to guide Manager of OST Quality and Training in creation of impactful staff training program. Ensure identified skill deficiencies are promptly addressed
Identifies and coordinates culturally specific programming opportunities to guide the manager of curriculum (Chris)
Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in Education, Early Learning, Business or related field is required; May substitute seven years' experience as Youth Development Leader or Bachelor's degree in progress.
A minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in youth development required.
