Air Import Specialist Location: Atlanta, Georgia

As an Air Import Specialist, you will be responsible for the movement of our customer’s air import shipments. You will be the main point of contact coordinating between customer shipment imports and shipping carriers.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all applicable parties for all air import shipments and ensure timely bookings with airlines on behalf of the customer.

Prepare import documentation in accordance with country requirements, including Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, Airway Bill, and other documents required by the customer.

File AES (Automated Export System) import customs compliance.

Ensure timely completion of import documents and coordinate with customers and/or warehouses for timely cargo delivery.

Communicate regularly with customers regarding shipment status and with overseas carriers to meet delivery commitments; follow up with airlines to monitor and track departure and arrival information.

Ensure invoicing of rendered services is accurate and completed within company policy time frames.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer profiles.

Meet all KPI’s assigned and audited by the Control Tower.

Skills / Requirements

1+ year experience in transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding (air import experience preferred but not required).

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Detail oriented with strong follow‑up skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Knowledge of Cargo Wise systems is a plus.

Pay Range $21.32 - $28.43/hr (Based on Experience)
