ServiceNow Asset Management Specialist (SAM/HAM)

Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day hardware and software asset lifecycle operations.
Maintain asset data accuracy, CI alignment, and lifecycle events (procure, receive, deploy, reassign, retire).
Run SAM entitlement validation and reconciliation cycles, compliance reporting and audit support.
Improve HAMSAM processes, workflows and data quality across multiple teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex ITAM issues spanning IT Finance, Security and Procurement.
Serve as the senior ITAM voice ensuring asset lifecycle processes, data flows and operational handoffs.
Identify gaps in the current ITAM SAM/HAM operating model and recommend realistic, scalable fixes.
Help define the long‑term ITAM roadmap.
Build documentation, SOPs, runbooks and governance guidelines to ensure a smooth handover.
Experience & Skills
7–10 years in ITAM with deep hands‑on experience in ServiceNow HAM and SAM.
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, discovery, normalization and CMDB alignment.
Experience with entitlement management, software reconciliation, turn‑ups and optimization insights.
Comfortable managing large fragmented inventories and cleaning up data chaos.
Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Mandatory.
ServiceNow ITAM Certifications.
Hardware Asset Management (CISHAM) – Preferred.
Software Asset Management (CISSAM) – Preferred.
Mandatory Skills
ServiceNow CSM.
