Job Details We are a national law firm with over 100 attorneys and 10 offices across the United States. We are eager to add an appellate associate to our St. Petersburg, FL office.
We are seeking an Appellate Associate with 2–5 years of experience for our downtown St. Petersburg, Florida office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience handling first‑party property or insurance defense matters, with a strong interest in appellate practice. This position will involve working closely with partners to manage complex litigation and develop appellate strategies.
Responsibilities
Draft appellate briefs and motions, analyze trial records, research complex legal issues, and present oral arguments as needed.
Contribute to case management at the trial level, including depositions, discovery, motion practice, mediations, and hearings.
Manage multiple matters and deadlines independently while keeping supervising attorneys and clients informed of case status.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Florida.
2–5 years of litigation experience (first‑party property, insurance defense, or appellate preferred).
Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
