Plan Examiner Reviews plans for new construction, alterations, and repairs to ensure compliance with city codes and requirements and national standards. Provides technical advice in the resolution of construction code interpretation and engineering problems.

Salary Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $39.22/hour.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field (i.e. Architecture/Engineering/Construction).

Two years of experience in construction plan review specific to the job assignment or discipline.

An equivalent combination of education and job related experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
