We are currently seeking a highly motivated
Oil and Gas Title Attorney
to join our team. This full-time role is integral to maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
The Role The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, client-focused attorney with strong oil and gas title experience, particularly involving division order title opinions. You will work closely with senior attorneys to deliver timely, accurate, and practical legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities Oil & Gas Title Work
Conduct title examinations and analyze deeds, leases, and related instruments
Draft title opinions identifying defects, liens, and ownership issues
Prepare large, unit-wide division order ownerships, including tract and allocation factors
Support due diligence for transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
Advise clients on legal risks and mitigation strategies
Transactional & Regulatory Support
Draft, review, and negotiate oil and gas agreements, including leases, JOAs, and purchase and sale agreements
Monitor and advise on applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Collaboration & Professional Development
Collaborate with internal teams and litigation counsel as needed
Meet an annual billable requirement of 1700 hours
Pursue continuous learning and support firm initiatives as assigned
Position Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) and active license
Minimum of three years’ experience drafting oil and gas division order title opinions covering Oklahoma and Texas lands
Strong ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail
