Overview
We are seeking an experienced
AV Project Manager
to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of audiovisual systems projects across commercial, enterprise, and institutional environments. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with a solid understanding of AV technologies and integration, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Manage AV and low-voltage projects from pre-construction through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Serve as the primary client point of contact for project communications, updates, and issue resolution.
Coordinate with internal teams including design, engineering, sales, and field installation staff to ensure seamless project execution.
Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to confirm scope and requirements.
Develop project schedules, track milestones, and manage deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, and manage change orders as needed.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and coordinate with subcontractors or vendors for installation and commissioning activities.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company quality procedures.
Support post-installation activities, including system testing, commissioning, training, and client handoff.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiencies, and client satisfaction enhancements.
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in AV, low-voltage, or telecom infrastructure projects.
Proven track record managing complex AV installations, including conferencing, control systems, digital signage, and enterprise AV solutions.
Strong understanding of AV technologies, integration processes, and installation standards.
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, or similar).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning principles.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or similar project management certification.
CTS or CTS-D certification is a plus.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including IT, electrical, and mechanical trades.
Familiarity with networked AV and AV-over-IP technologies.
