Buyer
to join our team.
Position Summary The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, and supplies required for production. This role ensures that materials meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with cost targets. The ideal candidate is experienced in manufacturing environments, highly organized, and skilled at supplier negotiation and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase raw materials, components, and MRO supplies based on production requirements.
Maintain optimal inventory levels and support production to minimize downtime.
Evaluate and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
Review purchase requisitions, create purchase orders, and monitor order status.
Resolve supplier quality issues, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support new product launches and process improvements.
Track KPIs such as supplier performance and e-catalog usage.
Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Qualifications Required:
2–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
or
equivalent experience
Certification in supply chain management
Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
Understanding of cost analysis and supply chain risk management
