Sentara Health is currently seeking an experienced
Supervisor, Courier Services
to join their team in Norfolk, VA.
Overview Location: Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities
Provides oversight for the delivery and logistics segment of the supply chain through daily supervision of courier operations.
Coordinates work, ensures quality of service, and directly supervises team members.
Is responsible for shift operations and serves as a liaison for Sentara Facilities and Warehouse.
Manages the vehicle fleet that consists of fourteen foot box trucks, cargo vans and small cars.
Utilizes state of the art computer and communications technology allowing detailed tracking of deliveries of Diagnostic Biologicals as well as supplies and mail.
Responsible for two way radio communications and meeting safety requirements mandated by OSHA and DMV.
Serves as content expert for team's work activities, provides assistance to team and may be required to work as a member of the team.
Contributes to the success of the System through the achievement of system, hospital and supply chain goals and objectives.
Ability to be on-call.
Required Qualifications
4 years Transport/Courier Services experience.
2 years Supervisory experience.
Ability to be on-call.
