Location: Concord, NH Nobis is seeking a Survey Manager to join our team in our Concord, NH office. You will lead the successful execution of complex land surveying projects from kickoff to closeout, delivering high-quality results that exceed client expectations. In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring project milestones, budgets, and standards are met across multiple active sites. You’ll oversee both field and office operations, mentor a high-performing team, and play a key role in business development through proposal writing and relationship management. The successful candidate will lead and manage land survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring all services meet company quality standards, client specifications, and state requirements. This role involves participating in planning activities and implementing procedures and systems to maximize operational efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and managing proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts, as well as signing and sealing plat maps, field records, and control drawings as required. The candidate will provide direction to survey party chiefs and instrument operators, perform survey computations and boundary resolutions for a variety of projects—including aerial and topographic surveys with utility locations, boundary and ALTA surveys, construction layout and as-built surveys, right-of-way surveys, and other specialized survey types as needed. Additional duties include supporting other internal operational units, participating in local industry networking functions to maintain strong client relationships, and performing other tasks as assigned to help achieve the company’s strategic goals. What You’ll Need to Bring With You

Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related discipline. Minimum of 7‑10 years of hands‑on experience in both field and office aspects of land surveying. Licensure as a New Hampshire Licensed Land Surveyor is required. Experience in all aspects of Land Surveying (including Site Civil, Utilities, Energy, and Public Transportation Agencies is required. Expertise in Civil3D is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly state project assignments/deliverables. A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and training. Ability to manage multiple projects, solve client problems, and deliver high quality deliverables. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are required. Additional licensure in State of Maine and/or Massachusetts is strongly desired.
