MAINTENANCE SENIOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Job Summary
We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Maintenance Senior Technician. Location: HSC Houston Mn – 2121 West Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77030. Openings may be available at other district schools.
Schedule: Full‑time Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with rotating weekends.
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour. Same‑day pay and opportunities for training and advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities using power and hand tools.
Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire alarm and other building systems.
Leads a project team and teaches maintenance skills to department members.
Updates work statuses, timing and costs using company technology.
Oversees fleet maintenance support, including welding, plumbing, electrical, vehicle and generator troubleshooting.
Reviews outside vendor work, creates punch lists, and ensures compliance with safety standards.
Determines manpower, material needs and deadlines for jobs or projects.
Reads blueprints, specifications and models to plan work layout.
Makes routine computations as needed.
Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes tests and inspections.
Responds to emergency problems and performs emergency repairs as required.
Makes recommendations for preventive maintenance improvements.
Serves as a member of the facility’s emergency response team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
Valid Journeyman’s license in one of the following: Electrical, Refrigerant, Plumbing, Carpentry, Welding, Steam & Pipefitting, Masonry or Instrumentation.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and models.
