Senior Material Planner – Solutions
Location: Henderson, WA – 560 W Warm Springs Rd, USA
Time Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
Ensure that all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed product lead times
Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed timeline
Manage the lead times of all delivery orders placed on behalf of the customer and report any issues with lead times
Expedite SAP delivery orders to the site with assistance from internal and external partners
Review the customer’s build/ship plans ensuring the plan will meet the commitments based on the delivery dates
Able to identify areas of opportunity to help promote continuous improvement projects by putting together a project plan, proposal, and seeing the project through to completion
Manage dock operations for the site by ensuring all safety procedures are followed, training documentation is current/audited, and material is dispositioned and tracked correctly
Serve in a backup role for the build’s supervisor, gaining an understanding of all systems, spreadsheets, and processes with the goal of running the department when the supervisor is not at the site
Assist with the startup of new buildings by ensuring all safety procedures are followed and all temporary/permanent areas are set up for daily operations with minimal supervision
Compiles and prepares data for manager meetings and can present data concisely. Identifies areas of improvement around material that can lead to financial and efficiency improvements
Coordinate with warehouse personnel in the planning and prioritization of all inbound and outbound material at the customer’s site, including coordinating direct deliveries to the customer’s site and drop trailers
Manage work tickets for the movement of material at the customer’s site and back to the warehouse so it can be re-inventoried
Assist with onboarding for new material planners at the site and at other sites to promote a smooth transition into the role, managing and improving training documentation to promote success
Assist with payroll/HR issues and interview process when needed
Administer OTJ training sessions for team members and develop new training opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Generally prefer 5 years of related experience
Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required
