Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a ShippingTeam Lead for our Norristown, Pennsylvania location.

Job Summary The primary objective of this position is to provide the tools, directive, and motivation to all positions within the Shipping department so that it functions at maximum efficiency and represents the Company regarding corporate policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

Serve as a team leader for the Shipping department to encompass all duties performed, including providing tools and directive necessary to operate efficiently.

Be available to perform functions such as packing, pulling, confirming orders, double‑checking orders, and receiving as needed.

Answer questions related to products, policies, and procedures and assist in the resolution of order‑processing problems.

Package all Hazmat and prepare proper documentation.

Make computer adjustments for receipt of purchase orders, stock transfers, and inventory; perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities Serves as a team leader to shipping personnel. Reprimands for inappropriate performance may be at the discretion of the Team Leader but formal disciplinary action is done in cooperation with the Branch Manager and/or Warehouse Manager.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified is required.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Superior listening and verbal communication skills, including diplomacy and professionalism.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to work accurately with highly detailed information.

Ability to lead support positions to assure ultimate performance levels.

Mental & Physical Demands

Fast pace of work to meet frequent deadlines.

Continuous contact with warehouse employees.

Potential stress related to typical product shipping and handling problems and resolutions.

Good vision related to detail on products and orders.

Ability to climb ladders/stairs, balance, stand/walk on concrete floors for extended periods.

Physical capacity to perform duties including repetitive motion, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing and walking on concrete floor, bending, twisting, and climbing.

Equipment Used RF (Radio Frequency) scanner, forklift, PC workstation, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, barcode scanner, printer, scale, utility knife, and tape gun.

Work Environment Work will typically be performed Monday through Friday; working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. Work will be performed indoors in a relatively temperature‑controlled climate with moderate heat, cold, or humidity; moderate exposure to dust and dirt may also be expected. May require handling products with cautionary warning labels. This is a safety‑sensitive position.
