Procurement Specialist
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to secure materials, supplies, and equipment required to complete essential business functions. The position will relocate to Charlotte, NC for 3–6 months of training before permanently being stationed in Florence, SC. Training is Monday‑Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies between vendor and shop.
Create purchase orders.
Process receiving and corresponding paperwork.
Reconcile invoices vs. purchase orders by coding and sending to the Accounting Department for payment.
Process and check detail shop drawings.
Interact with vendors to ensure orders arrive correctly and by the requested date.
Reconcile inventory.
Maintain inventory records and job files.
Coordinate and manage material and procurement for subcontractors.
Maintain cordial working relationships with vendors.
Interact with internal departments such as Pre‑Construction, Project Management, Shop, and others to provide service and problem resolution.
Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
Required: Knowledge of procurement software and tools. In‑depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems.
Preferred: Working toward or having received a bachelor’s degree; motivated and career driven; strong verbal, math, and communication skills; ability to be a team player with minimal supervision; strong multitasker and detail oriented.
