Job Overview The Customer Service Representative (U) provides the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors at the UHealth hospitals. The role includes creating ID badges, offering directions, validating parking, and ensuring a welcoming, customer‑oriented experience.

Responsibilities

Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy, accessing information only as necessary and complying with HIPAA.

Make safety, customer service, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction.

Responsible for badging all patients, families, and visitors entering the UHealth hospital.

Create an online profile for patients, families, and visitors to expedite future badge issuance.

Apply CICARE and ACT framework by demonstrating professionalism and compassion with all patients, visitors, and staff.

Act as point of reference for guests needing assistance or information and attend to their wishes.

Listen carefully to requests to provide a positive experience and identify support needs.

Escort patients or family members when appropriate and assist with wheelchair transportation.

Verify appointments in EPIC to validate parking.

Collaborate with Public Safety regarding prohibited visitors flagged in the system.

Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance in compliance with health and safety procedures.

Cover weekend and/or evening shifts as required.

Proficiency in English; multilingual skill strongly preferred.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with calm, professional, and empathic demeanor.

Strong multitasking and time‑management skills.

High level of customer service and welcoming attitude.

Excellent communication skills; speaks clearly and maintains positive tone.

Professional attire and demeanor to project confidence.

Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Prior customer service experience is helpful.
