Salary : $72,334.00 – $83,068.00 annually. Starting pay: $72,334.00 annually.

Job Summary : A Community Health Nurse II (10 months) assesses, plans, and evaluates patient care in community settings. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Work is performed in clinics, homes, or schools and may involve illness or stressful situations. Minimal physical exertion.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (or associate degree in nursing from an accredited institution with four years of clinical experience).

Two years of experience as a registered nurse.

Current RN license in Maryland or from a Multi‑State Licensure Compact participant state.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of nursing theory, processes, practices, and procedures.

Professional nursing standards.

Community health resources and agencies.

Long‑range planning for community health services.

Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating community health programs.

Establishing and maintaining effective relationships.

Effective oral and written communication.

Administrative skills.

Additional Information

Background check required for trust positions.

Mandatory six‑month probation for all selected candidates.

Eligibility consideration for vacancies as they arise for a period of at least six months.
