$31.00/yr - $35.00/yr Job Purpose
Commercial Drivers must safely operate company vehicles and ensure on-time delivery of goods while meeting established quality standards. Essential Functions Safely drive company owned trucks and equipment on assigned routes without incident. Maintain safe vehicle conditions and protect loads by complying with company policy and DOT and state highway rules and regulations. Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Load and unload cargo, sort and stage freight for shipping, verify load information, counts, audits as required. Determine the condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection form and reporting requirements and to adhere to the current regulatory requirements (i.e. DOT / FMCSA) and company standards. Maintain logs, trip sheets, documents, seals, and reports as required by location. Ensure integrity of the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturers instructions, troubleshooting problems, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment supplies and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Read and act upon bills of lading, receiving documents and any other documents relevant to shipping and receiving. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods, inspect and document freight damages, and prepare required paperwork for shipping/receiving clients product to/from outside vendors, customers and other locations. Perform data entry to record material transactions and maintenance of paperwork. Ensure proper labeling of inventory and load inspection. Properly inspect & secure all loads for safe transport. Follow standard operating procedures for assigned shifts, which can include lifting, moving, and shrink-wrapping loads; Adhere to all company and customer policies, procedures, quality, safety, and security requirements, and reporting policies.

Maintain truck supplies and ensure all equipment is in clean and in good working order Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED. 5 years recent commercial driving experience with similar equipment; may accept minimum of 3 years commercial experience with zero violations / accidents. Ability to operate assigned equipment and perform all responsibilities of the job. Current class A CDL and DOT medical card; Class B CDL may be accepted for certain routes. Demonstrated backing experience with tractor trailer. Customer service oriented. Available to work flexible hours, regular overtime, and weekends when necessary. Material handlers experience preferred; Forklift certification may be required for certain locations. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds; beyond 75 pounds with the proper equipment and/or assistance of others. Must have ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, kneel, lift, climb, and/or reach for extended periods of time. Must have ability to work in a fast-paced operations environment. Must be able to use a pallet jack, palletize boxes, and shrink-wrap pallets. Must have basic knowledge of desktop applications, e-mail, and smart phone applications. Must be able to work in severe weather conditions: both heat and cold.
