Structural Steel Quality Control Inspector
Join to apply for the Structural Steel Quality Control Inspector role at Kinsley Steel, Inc. (full time, on site). We are looking for a quality‑focused individual who will maintain the highest standards of quality for our products. Your responsibilities include inspecting materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, identifying process improvements, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections of fabricated steel in our AISC certified facility.
Inspect fabricated material to ensure it meets specifications outlined in shop drawings.
Address and document any non‑conformances during the inspection process.
Conduct both in‑process and final inspections, ensuring dimensional layout and placement of parts meet rigorous standards.
Participate in annual AISC QC Audits and develop goals to improve and promote quality throughout the organization.
Collaborate with production to solve any issues that arise.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in laying out and fabricating steel.
Ability to accurately read and interpret fabrication and construction drawings.
Preferred: Welding certification in D1.1 and/or D1.5.
Knowledge of structural steel design, engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection and retrofit.
Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
