Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for delivering customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects with full accountability for schedule, cost, profit & loss, and customer satisfaction. The position focuses on strong execution of project controls activities, operating with a level of autonomy while adhering to established standards, processes, and performance expectations. The role allows flexibility in methods and procedures as long as quality, timeliness, and cost objectives are met. Domestic travel is expected at approximately 10–15%.
Role Purpose Within Project Controls, the objective is to ensure strong schedule and cost management rigor so projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role offers exposure to complex, diverse projects in support of the energy transition, working alongside experienced professionals in a high‑performing project controls environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop integrated schedules and cost estimates for tenders and projects
Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost‑tracking systems
Ensure compliance with global Project Controls standards, tools, WBS, and processes
Monitor and analyse schedule and cost performance, trends, risks, and forecasts
Maintain registers for risks, actuals, and committed costs
Control cost movements and validate estimates against scope, progress, and productivity
Prepare internal and external project reporting and present financial status to stakeholders
Support change management, claims, project closeout, and tender activities
Collaborate with finance, functional cost owners, and third parties to optimise costs
Oversee planning activities and ensure accuracy, transparency, and reporting quality
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Comply with quality procedures and Project Controls processes
Identify improvement opportunities and support standardisation and lean initiatives
Performance Measures
Schedule and cost forecast accuracy
Overall project cost and schedule performance
Timeliness and quality of reporting
Qualifications
Strong expertise in planning and Primavera
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
5+ years planning large turnkey projects
Experience in cost control and lead planning roles
Knowledge of complex project controls, forensic analysis, and problem‑solving
Demonstrated project management capability
