Base pay range $50,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Position Overview Leads projects including the full lifecycle of Inventory and Supply Chain initiatives, in conjunction with Inventory Control and non‑inventory control related activities targeted to improve shrink, performance, or cost savings initiatives. Provides support for the Burlington Stores Supply Chain across functions and business units for multiple distribution centers and warehouses. Audits and observes the quality and integrity of policies and procedures for SOX compliance. Conducts inventory research/analysis, periodic physical inventories, and development of SOPs for sound inventory practices across multiple distribution centers and warehouses.
A Day In The Life Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate and execute plans and expectations on initiatives.
Monitors and audits systems, policies, and procedures for compliance and accuracy.
Be available to handle critical issues during normal hours and after hours as emergencies arise to ensure continued business operations.
Audit new procedures, processes, and tools for improving support of the operation, minimizing costs and improving system availability to the organization.
Engage with appropriate levels of the organization to identify opportunities to leverage best business practices.
Troubleshoot problems and issues through root cause analysis to result in successful and timely implementation and resolution.
Complete manual inventory adjustments to rectify inventory levels both in WM and RMS.
Project Management:
Tests standard methodologies, processes, tools, and reporting metrics.
Provides strategic communication with the Senior Manager as necessary to report opportunities and developmental plans to ensure agreement on required business objectives, resources, financials, and project deliverables.
Actively pursues issue resolution and communicates project status/issues to operational management.
SOX (Sarbanes‑Oxley):
Monitors, inspects, and documents all SOX‑controlled reports.
Tests, creates/updates, and implements system‑generated reporting as needed with guidance from the manager.
Audits and analyzes inventory shrinkage reports.
Documents and tests key and non‑key financial and operational SOX controls to ensure compliance and remediation of any noted gaps or deficiencies.
Completes monthly financial accruals.
You’ll Come With Qualifications:
Education:
BA / BS preferred
Experience:
Skills and Abilities:
2‑3 years of Analyst, Inspection, Inventory Control or related distribution center / retail experience preferred.
2‑3 years’ experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and sortation system (Dematic) preferred.
Experience in mid/large‑sized retail organization.
Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing culture.
Ability to operate well in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to directly mentor analysts through personal and professional development.
Ability to proactively partner with resources across various business units.
Proven ability to follow core values and continuously deliver key results.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work on‑site and remotely.
Ability to travel to all distribution centers and warehouses.
Ability to sit at a computer researching for long periods.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Standing/bending/lifting throughout the work day.
Frequent exposure to dust, high levels of noise, and moving machinery.
