Responsibilities
Optimize the daily load plan and freight tendering for assigned regions.
Balance customer service requirements for on‑time delivery, ensuring carrier compliance while maintaining cost effectiveness.
Leverage systemic routing tools and manual shipment planning to select and execute the most optimal transport plan from order entry to final delivery.
Collaborate with carriers across multiple modes of transportation, resolve service and capacity issues, and input into the Carrier Scorecard.
Maintain and secure transportation capacity, initiate freight auction and spot‑market decisions when routing guide capacity is exhausted.
Provide responsive support for short‑lead‑time shipments, expedite requests, mode conversions and other unplanned activities.
Monitor lane and load level costs, including accessorial review and approvals.
Support development of SOPs, training materials, KPI tracking, project initiatives and ongoing process‑improvement efforts.
Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement aligned with corporate goals such as cost reduction, sustainability and service improvement.
Work with warehouse teams to coordinate equipment availability, scheduling and resolve shipping constraints.
Gather, document, and communicate reason codes for exceptions and report weekly/monthly.

Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Logistics or related field.
2‑4 years of relevant experience in transportation planning, dispatch operations, customer service, scheduling, driver/fleet management or distribution operations in a multi‑facility environment.
Attention to detail and analytical mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with SAP and/or BlueYonder TMS.
