Job Title: Quality Inspector

Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and internal procedures. The Quality Inspector works closely with Production, Materials, and other departments to support overall quality objectives.
Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the Quality Supervisor
Works closely with all departments, particularly Production and Materials
Work performed primarily in a modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility
Standard work schedule is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Overtime may be required based on business needs
Reliable transportation required
Key Responsibilities Essential Functions
Inspect incoming materials from suppliers
Perform in-process inspections of assemblies on the production floor
Conduct final inspections of finished products and assemblies
Additional Responsibilities
Assist management with miscellaneous quality-related projects
Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
1–2 years of experience performing receiving inspection of fabricated parts
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and acceptance criteria
Familiarity with IPC standards preferred
Ability to identify electronic components
Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
Mental & Communication Requirements
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to read and understand assembly and fabrication drawings
Ability to perform duties in accordance with an ISO 9001 Quality System
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit details, and tones
Ability to inspect under magnification for extended periods
Eye protection required in manufacturing areas
ESD protection required in manufacturing areas
