Job Title: QC Inspector - AXI/5DX (Swing Shift)
Job Function: Manufacturing Quality
Job Summary: The QC Inspector - AXI/5DX operates the AXI machine and performs quality inspections using AXI. Reports to Quality Engineering Manager and is based in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Operate the AXI machine Responsible for the entire AXI operation/line support activities, review AXI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects, and work closely with the processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields and resolve processing issues.
Perform AXI related quality inspection tasks Using the AXI computer-operated machine, inspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc.; use magnification aids and inspect to IPC-A-610 standards; read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, MPI, ECN, deviation and other manufacturing documentation; load AXI programs per instructions; perform AXI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste and component placement.
Support engineers and production operators with equipment training, data collection and system evaluations Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations; support improvement initiatives and participate actively to improve the work environment (5S).
Other duties and responsibilities related to AXI Support and Production as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience operating 5DX or AXI equipment
High School Diploma
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 & ESD
IPC-A-610 Certified
Salary Range: $18.00 - $27.00 / Hour
