First Step House is hiring a full-time Development and Grant Coordinator in Salt Lake City, Utah!
Join our team and help advance our mission to provide treatment and housing for individuals rebuilding their lives after homelessness and incarceration. The Development and Grants Coordinator support the Grants Team in managing 50–100 grants annually, while also contributing to fundraising initiatives and donor engagement. This role requires strong writing, project management, and relationship-building skills.

Pay Range $50,000 to $65,000
Hybrid remote and in-person schedule is available

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
Strong professional writing skills required
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Grant writing and nonprofit experience preferred
Experience in nonprofit development and fundraising preferred
Duties include but are not limited to:
Grants Management (40%) : Maintain systems for applications, contracts, and reporting; write and submit grant reports; coordinate with internal teams; build relationships with funders.
Grant Writing & Research (30%) : Write grant proposals and related documents; research and recommend new opportunities; develop program knowledge to strengthen cases for support.
Development Campaigns (30%) : Assist with individual giving, donor cultivation, and corporate donations; support events and campaigns; help manage donor communications and database updates.
