Job Summary Oversees and manages all day‑to‑day production operations within the assigned production section. Contributes to production planning processes, allocates personnel resources, and implements technical infrastructure. Ensures adherence to quality guidelines and safety requirements and determines manufacturing priorities based on weekly production schedules. Leads all Production Operators in the assigned section.
Essential Functions
Provide manpower planning to ensure production schedules are met.
Lead the training and qualification process of direct reports.
Facilitate team meetings to communicate departmental KPI measurements.
Lead and solicit continuous improvement ideas from team members.
Ensure employees are following established procedures and standard work process.
Address employee performance issues in a timely manner.
Manage the time and attendance system to ensure employees are properly compensated.
Ensure that all HSE policy and procedures are being followed.
Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations.
Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
Must understand and support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
Skills and Competencies
Has SAP system knowledge.
Exhibits accident investigation skills.
Has Dayforce knowledge.
Has working knowledge of lean principles.
Exhibits excellent leadership skills.
Technical Capacity.
Knowledge/understanding of property descriptions.
Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills.
Organization skills.
Time management.
Supervisory Responsibility This position has >10 direct hourly reports.
Required Education and Experience
Associate Degree in Process, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Business.
3‑5 Years of Relevant Experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SAP.
