We are seeking a Business Office Manager to join our amazing team. The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all Accounts Receivable functions within the facility.
Business Office Responsibilities
Complete payer setup and updates for all residents
Coordinate with Admissions and families to ensure timely completion of Medicaid applications
Maintain accurate financial files for all residents
Complete RFMS authorizations for new Medicaid and Medicaid-pending residents; open RFMS accounts as needed
Apply for representative payee status for Social Security and process address changes when applicable
Verify responsible party information in PointClickCare, ensuring complete addresses and phone numbers upon admission
Prepare and scan deposits
Communicate all Medicaid-related changes (admissions, discharges, payer changes, income changes) to the Corporate Office
Run Medicare and Medicaid eligibility checks monthly for all residents
Make weekly collection calls regarding private pay, resident liabilities, and outstanding balances
Document collection efforts in the resident file under the Collections tab
Complete Medicaid redeterminations
Process Managed Medicaid re-authorizations
Complete and maintain the Medicaid Pending Report
Attend Medicare meetings and review eligibility, coverage, and benefit days for all Medicare residents
Position Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in business office operations (preferred)
