Position: Supervisor Logistics – 1st Shift, Fort Worth Logistics Center (FWLC), Fort Worth, Texas.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance, support, direction, and leadership in daily operations.

Communicate production/shipping requirements to the team for efficient manpower utilization and KPI development.

Assist in training and instruction of employees to perform work safely and productively.

Control department expenses to achieve productivity goals.

Pursue opportunities to improve speed and quality, supporting Customer Service.

Maintain good employee relations through counseling and proper application of labor relations policies.

Apply company rules, regulations, and established policies consistently.

Arrange maintenance of machines and equipment in work areas.

Lead departments in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement goals.

Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, coordinating with internal and external organizations as required.

Prepare required reports.

Enforce health, environmental and safety standards, work practices, and housekeeping.

Perform duties in compliance with safety rules and regulations of the Company, State, Federal, and Local provisions.

Perform all duties within the Textron business conduct guidelines.

Qualifications (What You'll Need to be Successful)

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Knowledge of SAP.

Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Able to document procedures, express processes in writing, and flow chart processes.

2+ years logistics experience; preferred experience working with a unionized workforce.

Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (preferred).

Assigned to a distribution environment; occasional lifting of 50-75 pounds and standing up to 75% of the shift.

Must be able to assist direct reports.

Uses computer terminal frequently.

Interfaces with managerial, office, and hourly employees on a regular basis.

Required to wear appropriate PPE (e.g., safety glasses).
