Traveling Quality Inspector - Part Time

Be among the first 25 applicants Trigo is seeking a Part Time Traveling Quality Inspector in the Wichita, KS area. Pay is $18/hr. and 1st shift Overall Purpose The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances. May Report to Site Manager Responsibilities Operations: Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects; read and follow work instructions and general processes; use measuring or testing equipment; ensure products meet quality standards; bring parts into compliance by deburring, derusting, grinding, etc.; utilize gauges and other measurement tools; display excellent customer service; must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies. Organization & Management: Collect and record data. Technical: Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements. Other: Any other duties as assigned. Organization & Management This position does not include supervisory responsibilities. Technical Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies. Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies. In proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery. Knowledge, skills, abilities Hard skills Demonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards. Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access.
