Trigo is seeking a Traveling Quality Technician in the Waukesha, WI area. Pay is $20/hr and a 2nd shift. (Fulltime contractor)
Overall Purpose The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.
May Report to Site Manager
Responsibilities
Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
Perform audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
Contain non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.
Rectify non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by the Team Leader.
Use methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
Determine the tools and equipment needed to complete the job.
Grind, sand, clean and oil parts and/or sub-assemblies using hand tools or equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Organization & Management This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Technical
Ability to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders, and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.
Ability to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies.
Experience working in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Hard Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access.
