SUMMARY OF POSITION Assist the Aransas County Extension Agents with 4‑H program activities, administration, and expansion. Plan and implement projects, maintain relationships with school leaders, faculty, staff, students, parents, and the community, and promote the program. Recruit members and volunteers to reach county goals. Flexible schedule required – days, evenings, weekends, and physical activity (up to 30 lb, outdoor work). Organizational Relationships

Reports to: County Extension Agent – Family & Consumer Sciences/4‑H Coordinator. Non‑supervisory role with frequent contact with county officials, employees, and the public. Essential Duties

Increase enrollment, membership, and participation in 4‑H. Promote the 4‑H program via social media (Facebook, Remind 101) weekly. Prepare and send press releases with photos to area newspapers. Coordinate membership drives and special events at local schools. Assist Club Managers with events such as One Day 4‑H, Annual Dinner, Commissioners Court presentations, parades, and United Way meetings. Promote the Agriculture & Homemaking (A&H) Show to members and the public. Take and organize photos from 4‑H events. Communicate by phone, email, text with families, volunteers, and staff. Design, print, and distribute certificates, thank‑you notes, flyers, etc. Maintain and update a visually appealing 4‑H bulletin board. Assist with A&H Show entries, livestock show registrations, etc. Attend 4‑H Club meetings, activities, and related training – may include evenings and weekends. Recruit and coordinate youth and adult volunteers. Support project leaders with supplies, materials, and communications. Build and maintain a resource of 4‑H curricula and supplies. Align projects with grade‑level standards. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED. Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record. US citizen and able to pass a criminal background check. Own transportation. Preferred Qualifications Previous 4‑H or FFA experience. Previous experience working with youth. Knowledge/Skill/Ability To Complete online volunteer, group, and curriculum enrichment reports monthly. Keep a record of 4‑H account – activity fees, donations, grants, receipts, and expenses. Assist with annual club chartering, IRS documents, and grant applications. Achieve proficiency in 4‑H Connect; operate standard office equipment (copier/fax, calculator, computer). Seniority Level
