Project Manager – Galesburg, MI
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead complex programs and initiatives from conception through implementation, driving cross‑functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliverables.
Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and oversight of large‑scale programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, objectives, and priorities.
Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria, and develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Establish and maintain effective governance structures, communication channels, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Manage cross‑functional project teams, including internal and external stakeholders, to execute project activities, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
Monitor program performance metrics, track progress against milestones, and report on program status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
Lead change management initiatives, facilitate decision‑making processes, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Mentor and coach junior program managers and project team members, fostering collaboration and professional development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
6‑9 years of experience in program or project management with demonstrated progression in responsibility and leadership.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and projects from initiation to closure, delivering on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques such as PMBOK, Agile, and Waterfall.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing requirements.
Preferred Skills
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
Experience managing programs or projects in a technology, engineering, or product development environment.
Knowledge of program/portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
Familiarity with industry‑specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
